THE future of the deputy chief executive of Lancaster City Council is uncertain after her post was scrapped in a cost-cutting shake-up.
Heather McManus’ £77,321-a-year position has been eliminated following a city council senior management reorganisation.
Mrs McManus had been in charge of overseeing community services, governance, finance and performance, and regeneration. She managed the city council’s service bosses and deputised for chief executive Mark Cullinan.
Mr Cullinan would not confirm if his former deputy would be leaving the council altogether.
