A mother and daughter team are enjoying sweet success with their chocolate venture.

Maggie and Gina Preston own Cocoa Hearts chocolate studio on Victoria Street in Morecambe, selling chocolates, fudge and hot chocolate drinks, and also holding chocolate making workshops.

Relocating from Grasmere, Maggie said: “We always liked Morecambe, living in the Lake District we visited here often, and it was more economical to situate the business venture in Morecambe. We are hoping that Morecambe is on the up, there is quite a positive vibe around here, and it’s a good place to be.

“Our hen parties are going really well, they are not the usual boozy affairs, and we make the chocolate making workshops a lot of fun, even personalising small details.

Cocoa Hearts createtheir chocolates using only the very finest ingredients handmade by Maggie and Gina, who have strong backgrounds in the catering industry. Virginia was the pastry chef at the prestigious Miller Howe Hotel for over five years and Maggie cooked her way across from Sydney Australia cooking up a storm at the likes of the iconic Wordsworth Hotel in Grasmere.
