A former editor of The Visitor is set to appear on a TV show about struggling hotels.
Glen Cooper is part of a team of media experts brought in to transform a Spanish hotel on tonight’s episode of ‘The Hotel Inspector’ on Channel 5.
Glen and his colleagues John French and Dom Williams, who all work for Lancaster digital marketing firm Fat Media, were drafted in to create a new brand, promotional literature and website for La Casa in Torrox, Costa del Sol.
They helped ex-pat sisters Karen Atkinson and Sarah Melton to tackle the problem of building up occupancy rates after their hotel struggled for business following the global financial crisis.
The show’s host, Alex Polizzi, identified that, though the place was beautiful, located in a superb setting and offered amazing food, it needed a radical overhaul of its marketing materials to bring out its true nature - and bring in more business.
So the Hotel Inspector production company Twofour called in Fat Media’s branding, copywriting and digital marketing team.
The programme will air on Channel 5 tonight (May 28) at 9pm.
