Carnforth pupils launch radio station

CARNFORTH High School has launched its new student radio station.

BBC radio personality John “Gilly” Gillmore visited the school to launch the new station and was then interviewed by pupil Amy Stanley on his career, for broadcasting at break time.

The station has been in the pipeline since October, when the school held a competition to choose a name and design a logo.

After careful consideration the Year 11 BTEC group, who had raised most of the money for the station, chose the name PULSE.

The winning name and logo was designed by Sam Rawlings in 7N.
