A CAFE boss has called for the council to back seafront businesses after “out-of-towners” set up food stalls on the prom.
Lee Robinson of Rita’s Cafe has complained to Lancaster City Council after rivals set up temporary snack bars just yards from his business.
“Businesses are closing down in Morecambe and is it any wonder when people are coming in from out of town and doing this?” asked Mr Robinson.
Rita’s Cafe, which has been in Morecambe for 18 years, operates a hot dog and burger stand outside Briggs shoe shop on Marine Road Central.
