The Bolton-le-Sands singer will be hosting her headline show on June 3 at the Lancaster Grand Theatre for the launch of her new EP ‘Integrity.’

Amy-Jo has been singing professionally since the age of 11 and has since gone on to become a regular performer at the Blackpool Illuminations iFest, Feel Good Festival in Rochdale and a support act for a host of established performers including Toploader and Heaven 17.

The music lover is also looking forward to supporting Scouting for Girls again towards the end of May and supporting The Fratellis in summer.

She has appeared on The Disney Channel and Hollyoaks but turned down the opportunity to be in Take That manager Nigel-Martin Smith’s new girl band.

Amy-Jo said: “I’ve always known the type of artist I want to be and the things I want to say so I was very flattered for the offer but the decision was quick and easy to make.”

The singer/songwriter describes her new sound as ‘Fresh and soulful yet still in keeping with her recognisable country sound’.

“I released my last EP when I was 16 which meant that the songs had been written and recorded around the age of 14 and 15. This EP is much more mature and true to myself. I’ve experienced a lot in the past couple of years and I think this EP reflects that.

“The music has also gone down the RnB route so I think a lot of people will be surprised when they hear this.”

Amy-Jo had many inspirations growing up, from Mariah Carey being the biggest influence to Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Jess Glynne. The local singer says none of this would be possible without her producer, Jon Rasmussen.

She said: “I would go to Jon with the song I’d written acoustically, and somehow he would transform it into this huge track. I owe a lot to him for allowing me to be so involved in the recording process and encouraging me to try new things such as harmonies which are evident in many of the tracks.”

One of the tracks from the EP has already been featured on BBC Introducing and the singer is hoping to see many local faces at the show.

The show will include a variety of numbers from up-tempo dance tracks with her full band to a host of originals songs with her acoustic trio.

Tickets are £6 for adults and £5 for concessions and can be booked by calling 01524 64695.
