Arrests made after wine bar fracas

Two people were arrested after police were called to a disturbance outside a wine bar in Whalley in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called to Brady’s wine bar in Queen Street at around 12-45am after an altercation involving a number of people.

One man was arrested and charged with being drunk and disorderly and he was issued with a fixed penalty notice.

A woman was also arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer. She was issued with an adult caution.

Inspector Ian Cooper of Clitheroe Police said investigations into the incident were continuing and further arrests could be made.
