Apply for festival funding for next year

If so, Morecambe Town Council is asking festival organisers to start applying for funding for next year’s events.

Applications are for events planned to take place between April 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018, within the Morecambe Town Council area.

The closing date for the submission of applications for funding is Friday August 12, 2016.

The council will operate a three-stage process for determining applications which will once again consist of:

Stage 1 – Festivals Advisory Panel (this will take place during week commencing August 22, 2016)

Stage 2 – Festivals and Events Committee to consider recommendations of the Panel (September, 7 2016)

Stage 3 – Council to consider recommendations of the Festivals and Events Committee

The council will be meeting on September15 and should consider the recommendations from the Panel and Committee at that meeting.
