Appeal after shoplifting in Heysham

Meat was stolen from a shop in Heysham.

Police said a man and a woman went into Tesco on Heysham Road.

They made their way to the meat aisle and selected packets of meat which were then concealed under their clothing.

They left the store without paying.

The man is described as white, slim build, approximately 5ft 10in height, with short dark hair wearing a puffer jacket and black tracksuit pants, late 20s in age.

The female is described as white, slim build, approximately 5ft 6in height, with long dark brown hair, wearing a black coat, jeggings and holding a carrier bag.

To date, on-going enquiries have not yet identified the man police need to speak to.

PC John Bradshaw, from Lancaster & Morecambe Police, said: “We would appeal to the public to help us and provide any information in regards to the identification of the male in the CCTV stills provided.”

The shoplifting took place at 2pm on Monday, May 18.
