Appeal after seven cars damaged in Morecambe

Police are appealing for witnesses after cars were scratched on Chatsworth Road, Morecambe. The picture attached is believed to be the person responsible and appears to be using a sharp object to scratch vehicles whilst walking along.
Police are appealing for witnesses after cars were scratched on Chatsworth Road, Morecambe. The picture attached is believed to be the person responsible and appears to be using a sharp object to scratch vehicles whilst walking along.

Police believe this person is responsible for scratching seven cars with a sharp object in the West End.

They released this image after vehicles were damaged on Chatsworth Road.

The damage occurred at 4.45am on Thursday, September 22.

Tracey Hosker, whose car was one of those damaged, said: “There was one guy on our street who has a brand new car. He was gutted. I feel sorry for him and the other residents whose cars were damaged.

“There is an element around here and I don’t know what they are trying to achieve. But it’s not all bad. There hasn’t been much trouble around our area of Chatsworth Road for a long time and a lot of the houses are being done up and families are moving in.”
