Appeal after fire wrecks memorial

Police are appealing for information after the fire was set in the rear garden of a house in Barley Cop Lane, Lancaster.

Three men are believed to have gone into the garden and set fire to an armchair against the fence.

The blaze then spread to an adjoining fence panel and damaged the memorial.

Three people seen at the time were described as white men, in their late teens or early twenties and one wearing a red jacket.

The fire was started at 5pm on April 10.
