1,000 strong petition over '˜Bolton-le-Slyne'
A petition of more than 1,000 signatures asking not to build on green belt land at Slyne-with-Hest will go before Morecambe Town Hall tonight (February 3).
Campaigners are worried a proposal to build on land between Manor Lane, Slyne-with-Hest and Greenwood Avenue, Greenwood Drive, Greenwood Crescent and Pinewood Avenue, Bolton-le-Sands, will wreck the separate identities of Bolton-le-Sands and Slyne-with-Hest.
Some residents worry that excessive house building would create a ‘Bolton-le-Slyne’.
All are welcome to the public Lancaster City Council meeting, starting at 6pm. The meeting agenda also includes final decisions on the council’s controversial 2016/17 budget.
