The acclaimed Festival Players will return to Leighton Hall to perform one of Bards best loved comedies, As You Like It.

On Friday July 24, Leighton Hall’s grounds and gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for a two hour production of love, laughter, mistaken identity and music.

Celebrating their 30th anniversary, the Festival Players take on Shakespeare’s favourite comedy, which comes hot on the heels and in complete contrast to their performance a few weeks ago, where the inimitable all male company performed the epic drama “Henry IV” to a sell-out crowd.

Featuring one of Shakespeare’s most famous quotes “All the world’s a stage”, As You Like It, is a popular favourite.

Michael Dyer, artistic director, said: “This year we are doing a mammoth 80 date tour but Leighton Hall is one of only two venues we do in Lancashire, so we always look forward to it.

“The gardens are without doubt the perfect setting for a balmy summer’s evening of entertainment!”
