CancerCare walk to Piel Island.

Everyone can join CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria’s Piel Island Walk on Sunday, July 22, starting at 11am at Snab Point, Walney.

John Murphy, who has a wealth of knowledge about Piel Island’s history, will be the guide.

The walk will be approximately one hour each way and is suitable for families.

Registration opens at 10.30am and there will be approximately two hours of walking with a break on Piel Island.

The entry fee is £10 for adults and £5 for children (age six and over only – children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult).

CancerCare is urging all participants to collect sponsorship.

Sponsorship forms can be downloaded from CancerCare’s website at: www.cancercare.org.uk/events/piel-island-walk

Walkers may like to take a picnic and you can also buy food and drinks at the island’s pub.
