A star of a TV talent search for American wrestling’s next big UK superstar will appear in Morecambe on Sunday November 2.
Dave Mastiff is one of Britain’s toughest, meanest grappling stars and is one of the favourites to win ‘British Boot Camp 2’, wrestling’s answer to The X Factor.
Mastiff can be seen on Sunday nights on Challenge TV as he competes against other British wrestlers in an attempt to earn a lucrative spot with USA-based TNA Impact Wrestling.
In a similar style to The X Factor, the wrestlers audition for a panel of judges through a number of rounds, until just one winner is left standing.
The bearded brute from The Black Country, real name David Minton, is close friends with RockStar Spud, who won the first series of British Boot Camp in 2013.
Mastiff will square off against CJ Banks in a special challenge match at the Winter Gardens on November 2 at 4.30pm. The main event of the show will be a British Title defence for ‘One Man Riot’ Craig Kollins against number one contender Ricky J McKenzie.
Other bouts on the action-packed card include a daredevil four-way encounter between high flyers El Ligero, Ryan Smile, Damian Dunne and Chris Ridgeway, and a ‘big man vs small man’ battle between the 25 stone Cyanide and the popular underdog Bubblegum.
