A Lancaster teenager has reached the final of a national singer-songwriter competition.
Imogen Rae is down to the final 25 of Open Mic UK, which attracted 9,000 entrants.
Imogen, real name Imogen Mechie, will compete at the NEC Birmingham on Saturday, January 18.
She has the chance to win the first prize of £5,000 towards making an album or a similar musical project.
The judging panel will include execs from top record companies including Sony and Universal.
Ex-Lancaster Girls Grammar pupil Imogen, who plays piano as well as singing, will be joined by her regular bass player Adam Harrison.
Imogen’s debut album ‘Breathless’ is now available to buy.
