A puppet legend is heading to The Platform with a fabulous new show to delight all the family.

Sooty will be joined by Sweep, Soo and his TV partner Richard Cadell this Saturday (March 28) for Sooty’s Birthday Party.

It’s Sooty’s Birthday party and things aren’t going to plan. Sooty and Sweep get messy baking the birthday cake and will Soo ever decide which dress to wear?

Special party guests include legendary Sooty favourites Butch the bulldog and Ramsbottom the snake.

There will also be a chance to meet Richard and Sooty after the show.

Sooty has been on our television screens since he was created by Harry Corbett in 1948.

When Harry retired in 1976, his son Matthew Corbett took over as Sooty’s human sidekick, before Cadell took over in 1998. Sooty is known for his silence, cheekiness, his magic wand and catchphrase ‘Izzy wizzy, let’s get busy!”
and his best friends the squeaky dog Sweep and the panda Soo.

There will be two performances taking place on Saturday, March 28 at 11am and 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £14 adult, £12 child and £42 family (2+2). Buy them from Morecambe Visitor Information Centre, Lancaster Visitor Information Centre at The Storey, or call 01524 582803 or go to
