Sixties legends still going strong

Sixties group Manfred Mann is considered one of the finest and most respected bands from that era.

Their numerous pop hits including ‘Pretty Flamingo’, ‘Doh Wah Diddy Diddy’ and ‘5-4-3-2-1’ have a timeless quality.

Today some 53 years on from Manfred Mann’s peak, a band spawned from the originals with the band’s legendary front man Paul Jones is still going strong.

The Manfreds is made up of Paul Jones, with his unique harmonica sound, joined by Mike Hugg on keyboards, Tom McGuinness on lead guitar, Rob Townsend on drums, Marcus Cliffe on bass guitar and Simon Currie on saxophone/ flute.

Expect surprising renditions of classic Manfred Mann tracks including ‘Sha La La’, ‘Come Tomorrow’, ‘Oh No Not My Baby’, ‘Mighty Quinn’ and ‘If You Gotta Go Go Now’.
