The 17-year-old from Bolton-le-Sands who has previously performed alongside big names such as Pixie Lott, Little Mix and Blue, takes on the role of ‘Chiffon’ in About Theatre’s production of the botanical musical comedy.

Amy Jo is joined by Shannon Whittle, 18, from Morecambe, and Beth Isherwood, also 18, from Heysham, as ‘The Ronettes’ trio who sing many of the musical numbers in the show.

Little Shop of Horrors is the story of a down-and out skid row floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood.

Amy-Jo said “I’m used to singing solo but being a part of About Theatre’s production has given me a chance to sing in challenging harmonies. It’s great fun being a ‘Ronette’ with two of my friends.”

Fellow ‘Ronette’, Shannon, currently studying at Morecambe High School, recently played the part of Judy Haynes in ‘White Christmas’ at Morecambe Winter Gardens.

About Theatre was formed in 2000 by local actor, Roger Bradley, before his death as a result of skin cancer aged 43. The company has raised in excess of £15,000 for melanoma charities. Proceeds from this show will go to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

Performances are at 7.30pm every evening from February 25 to 28, with an additional Saturday matinee performance at 2pm. Tickets from 01524 64695.
