Jenny, who is an NHS admin officer based in Lancaster, said: “It’s been a great year for me. Seeing my first book reach so many readers has been a dream come true. Fans of both sci-fi and general fiction have enjoyed it, describing it as ‘James Bond meets Firefly’.”

Haven is the story of Kaleb Hugo, a soldier in the military establishment that controls the Earth in the near future.

Hugo becomes re-assigned from his prestigious military position to captain an unruly undercover vessel with an even more unruly crew. There’s action, drama, intrigue and a good amount of emotional turmoil thrown in for good measure.

Since the launch of Zero, Jenny has attended conventions including Scarborough Sci-Fi Festival, Blackpool Comic Con and Talk Nerdy 2 Me in Preston where her book has gone down a storm, even selling out at some events.

Author Eddie Robson will also be attending, launching his first Science Fiction novel ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’.
