Parents cinematic tribute to tragic son at The Dukes

A Love That Never Dies (12A) is a personal journey by bereaved parents Jane Harris and BAFTA-winning filmmaker, Jimmy Edmonds whose son died seven years ago.

It is being premiered in London during Dying Matters Week which runs from May 14-20.

Jane, a psychotherapist, and Jimmy now honour their son Josh with their own journeys to Vietnam and the place where he died, to India, and a road trip across America where they meet with other families who have also lost a child, all of who have found grief variously isolating, transformative yet ultimately life enhancing.

A Love That Never Dies is unique in its story telling, full of raw honesty made possible only by the fact that both filmmakers and subjects share a common bond. But neither give way to sentimentality or the morose.

The film will be screened at the Lancaster cinema on June 4 at 6pm followed by a question and answer session with Jane and Jimmy. They will be introduced by Lancaster solicitor and Dying Matters chair, Gary Rycroft and the discussion will be chaired by Tony Bonser, a Dying Matters and end of life champion whose son died from cancer aged 35.
