If you wander through Lancaster this Friday you might come across a man from Brazil who bills himself as a beatbox body percussion crystal ball juggler.
Rafe from Sao Paulo, the one-man circus, will pop up in various city centre locations.
He will perform as part of the first ‘First Friday’ of the year in Lancaster Library, shops and cafes.
Look out for Rafe between 3pm and 6pm.
‘First Friday’ is a series of arts events, taking place on the first Friday of each month, organised by Lancaster Arts City.
Also on the bill is an unusual exhibition based on a tense thriller where the audience will enter a world of bombings and kidnappings...via a phone call.
Blast Theory presents ‘Dial Ulrike and Eamon Compliant’, which opens on Friday at the Storey Centre. This interactive display gives visitors the chance to dial a number and take a trip into a world of political violence. To start this unique storytelling experience, you use your mobile to call a special number. For more details go down to the Storey at 7pm this Friday.
Other events include a film starring local young people called Monument, showing in the Storey Auditorium from 7.30pm, and Litfest presents Katy Cawkwell, a storyteller telling ‘The Falcon Bride’ from 8pm, also in the Storey.
