Johnny Phere will square off against Craig Kollins in the main event of ‘Revelation’ at Morecambe theatre the Winter Gardens.

There is added spice to this ‘No Holds Barred’ matchup because the Morecambe-based Phere, known as ‘The Psychotic Warrior’, actually taught Kollins how to be a wrestler.

Kollins, from Barrow-in-Furness, enrolled in the Morecambe wrestling training school at Regent Park Studios in 2010.

With help from Phere’s training, ‘The One Man Riot’ became one of the best young wrestlers on the UK circuit.

The 23-year-old then followed in his trainer’s footsteps by becoming British Heavyweight Champion, winning the title at the Globe Arena in June 2014.

But in recent months, Phere and Kollins have been on a collision course after crossing paths on several shows at the Winter Gardens.

When Craig lost the title in June, he blamed Johnny for coming down to ringside to distract him.

Kollins was then pinned in a tag team match at Vendetta in August, again when Phere got physically involved.

Both men have since promised to engage in all-out war this Sunday in what should be an intense battle.

The Phere-Kollins clash will be the main event of Sunday afternoon’s show, the first under the banner of Alpha Omega Wrestling.

AOW have taken over as promoters of wrestling events in Morecambe and are promising an action-packed debut card.

Also on the bill, the AOW tag team championships and women’s title will be on the line for the first time ever.

A four-way bout pitting Chris Ridgeway, Dylan Roberts, James Drake and Ricky J McKenzie looks a mouthwatering encounter between four of Britain’s best.

The popular Danny Hope will take on Barricade, while the hated CJ Banks is set to rumble with the massive Cyanide.
