LITTLE rays of sunshine hit the catwalk on Sunday as a modelling contest for young girls arrived in Morecambe.
Run by dance teachers Tracey Austin and Sarah Norris in conjunction with Lancaster and Morecambe Newspapers, the first ever Little Miss Sunshine contest was a great success.
Forty girls aged from 22 months to 17 years took part and the overall winner, crowned Little Miss Sunshine, was Mia Marcellini.
Mia impressed the judges with with her bags of confidence, a beautiful smile and a fantastic personality.
Sponsors of the event were Jo and Cass and Fone For Flowers.
The first show kicked off at 2.30pm with the under sevens, where they performed catwalks and were interviewed by comperes Richard Farrell and Gemma Merrick of West End Impact.
