A powerful new writing project using coroners’ reports from World War One begins on January 24 in Morecambe.
Time and Tide will use the reports from 1914-1918 as starting points for writing fiction, poems and monologues.
The project intends to reveal how World War One impacted within our community, bringing to light untold stories of everyday life.
Monthly workshops, run by local poet Sarah Hymas, will end with an exhibition of the writing within an installation of art, print and audio. This will tour around the bay area from July 2015.
Sarah will be working with Vicci McCann, senior archivist from Lancashire Archives, Friends of Lancashire Archives and Litfest.
The writing produced will be published online as well as printed and recorded for the exhibition. All the workshops are free. More information on dates and how to reserve a place at HERE
