Leeds band The Dunwells play Lancaster University

A four-piece whose new EP was produced by the man behind Kodaline and the Kaiser Chiefs are heading to Lancaster University.

The Dunwells will appear at the uni next Wednesday, February 11, as part of a UK tour which ends in their hometown of Leeds on February 28.

The four-piece, made up of brothers Joseph and David Dunwell and friends Robert Clayton and Adam Taylor, released the ‘Show Me Emotion’ EP in September this year.

Produced by Steve Harris, the EP features an incredibly emotional set of songs, with heartfelt lyrics and four part harmonies to melt even the hardest of hearts.

The group was drawn together by their shared love of bands like Bon Iver, Elbow and Damien Rice and they’ve been making music together since they first met in school.

Having spent their early years playing around Leeds, and honing their skills in the clubs, their first big break came in America in 2011 when they performed at the Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, Tennessee.

With one album under their belt and several rounds of successful touring in the US and UK, the February tour will coincide with a brand new single.
