History is a mystery

DO you want to learn how to repel a Saxon siege or learn gruesome facts about Tudor dentistry?

During Mystery History Week, a different period of history will be brought to life at the Judges’ Lodgings Museum in Lancaster.

Children and families will have the chance to turn back time throughout Mystery History Week with a series of fun-filled half-term events running from Monday, February 21 to Friday, February 25.

So whether you want to dig for ancient artefacts, try your hand at weaving, learn some gruesome facts about Tudor dentistry or repel a Saxon siege, there’s something for people of all ages.

All the workshops, which run between noon and 4pm, are free but admission charges apply: adults £3, concessions £2. Children go free but must be accompanied by an adult.
