Harvest competitions, as well as craft workshops, storytelling sessions, flower arranging classes and lots more will be among the activities at Lancaster Castle this weekend.
And there will also be performances, for the first time inside the walls, by the popular John o’Gaunt Morris Men at the castle’s first ever Harvest Festival runs this Saturday and Sunday, September 28/29.
Competitions include adult and children’s classes for best floral display, home-made jam, edible castle, animal made out of fruit and veg, blackberry and apple pie, harvest wreath - as well as a harvest-themed photography competition.
You can also enjoy a lovely two-course Harvest Supper served in the castle’s outside courtyard area at 4pm on Saturday, September 28, £6 per adult and £4 for under 12s.
