Lancaster’s Haffner orchestra has a very attractive programme for its first concert of the season this Saturday (November 16).
Dvořák’s New World Symphony, along with Bizet’s Carmen Suite and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite will be played at the Great Hall, Lancaster University.
The guest conductor is Justin Doyle, who will give a free pre-concert talk at 6.30pm. Justin, originally from Lancaster,has now made a name for himself as a conductor nationwide.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Admission is free for under 18s and this is a concert with plenty of appeal for young people. Tickets priced £13 for adults, £12 concessions are available by calling 01524 582394.
