A Queen tribute band will take to the Platform stage this week as part of a new season of events at the Morecambe venue.
Magic - A Kind of Queen will play the hits of Freddie Mercury and his legendary rock band this Friday (February 20).
This fantastic tribute show is just one of a host of acts at the Platform this year, with everything from famous puppets, musicians, comedians, international acts and national treasures.
Experienced world class musicians including Snake Davies and his Band, The Manfreds, Woody Man, The Neville Staple Band, The Raymond Froggatt Show, Martin Simpson, Vin Garbutt and 70s hit-making trio The Three Degrees are all on the line up.
Then there’s names such as Stuart Maconie, Gordon Buchanan, even and Sooty and Basil Brush, famed for his catchphrase ‘Boom Boom!’
Fans of the 40s will love the Swing Commanders in March, while jazz and blues fans will enjoy The Manfreds and Talon. There will also be regulars the Promenade Concert Orchestra, the Moonlight Serenade Orchestra, the Lancaster and District Male Voice Choir and Morecambe Brass Band, the popular Lunchtime Concerts, ABBA tribute Voulez Vous, the VFM Scooter Rally, Rock Back the Clock wild weekend, the North Lancs Soul Festival, Steampunk fair and Steve Middlesbrough’s music festivals
