Why not sign up to this year’s Walk Your Way to Defy Dementia event?

As it is not possible for the usual annual walk on Morecambe prom to be held this year, Lancaster University is simply asking people to do whatever they can between March 22 and 28, and 'walk your way' to provide essential support to their pioneering dementia research campaign.

The campaign has so far raised more than £415,000 for research at Lancaster University.

No matter where you are in the world, you can sign up, share your stories and support the university with donations and sponsorship.

Every step that you take and every penny that you make will help them to make a real difference in their continued fight against one of the world’s major diseases.

If you would like to get involved simply click here to sign up to the free event.

Once you have signed up you will receive an email containing full details about the event and the great work you are about to undertake.

If you live in Lancaster, you could take a trip to some of the area's fantastic local scenery including Williamson Park, Lancaster Castle or the stunning coastline.

Alternatively, you can take part in the comfort of your own home. Simply put on your walking shoes and get going, but remember to adhere to the current government guidelines.

Don’t forget to take some photos whilst on your walk so the university can share your experiences with all of their followers.

There will also be the chance for those involved to have exclusive access to a virtual question and answer session with two research associates in April.

Long-term supporters Unique Care have kindly agreed to sponsor the event and a number of their staff will be taking part during the course of the week.

If you have any questions about the event, email [email protected] for more information or call 01524 510399.
