Lockdowns have left people feeling isolated and cut off from their usual support networks of family and friends, which has impacted on their mental health.

For the next six weeks - or however long it lasts - CancerCare will be holding weekly online drop-in sessions designed to act a social space for people to have a chat and enjoy some company for an hour.

The sessions will take place on Tuesdays at 7pm on Zoom and will be hosted by the Slyne Road charity's development & engagement officers Rachel and Sarah, who are planning a variety of activities including bingo, pub quiz, cookery demonstration and talks from guest speakers.

If you fancy logging on and being with some friendly faces for an hour, they would love to see you, but if you just want to join in and see what it’s about there’s no pressure to contribute, they'd be happy just to have you there.

The first session will be an online bingo game on Tuesday January 12 and the Zoom link is https://bit.ly/39717rn

If you would like to join but have never used Zoom before, get in touch and they will gladly help you get started – email [email protected]
