Reece's family made the announcement this morning on the Team Reece charity Facebook page.

Reece's uncle, Dave Holt, who was organising the event, said: "I’m sure this won’t come as a surprise but thought best to officially let everyone know due to the current COVID-19 situation unfortunately the Reece Holt Cup 2020 is postponed until further notice, all tickets already bought will still be honoured for the new date as and when we are able to get the match on. Thank you all for your continued support but more importantly at the moment STAY HOME AND STAY SAFE"

The family of Reece - who passed away in January 2019 at the age of 13 after a long battle with cancer - announced the event earlier this month following the massive success of last year's day, which raised around £10,000 for the Team Reece charity.

This year's event had been set to feature an array of soap stars and ex-footballers, as well as Dave and Reece's dad Chris.
