As the number of cases of coronavirus across Lancashire continue to rise, some schools have been forced to send pupils home or close to prevent the further spread of the disease.

Pool House Community Primary School in Preston announced over the weekend (Saturday, September 26) that it will be closed for seven working days after a teacher was found to be Covid-positive. In an updated statement on its Facebook page the school, based in Kidsgrove, Ingol, confirmed it would be closed until Wednesday October 7 and advised all children to isolate until that date.

3. Pool House Community Primary School - Preston

Pool House Community Primary School in Preston announced over the weekend (Saturday, September 26) that it will be closed for seven working days after a teacher was found to be Covid-positive. In an updated statement on its Facebook page the school, based in Kidsgrove, Ingol, confirmed it would be closed until Wednesday October 7 and advised all children to isolate until that date.

A case of coronavirus has been confirmed at Ashton Community Science College in Preston this morning (Monday, September 28). All Year 10 pupils have been asked to stay at home and self-isolate until October 9 after an infected pupil or staff member came into contact with students on Friday (September 25).
