Women from around the county, who may have struggled with numeracy and to have a positive relationship with numbers, are being given the opportunity to take part in an online Women and Numbers taster session on Tuesday December 13.

This introductory session will ask women what they need to shape the content of the course which begins in January 2023.

“Women tend to reveal a lack of confidence with numbers which can impact financial management, income and wellbeing,” said Jane Binnion, The Growing Club founder and director.

“This comes from a gender disparity in mathematics, with a masculine bias and a lack of women in leadership positions in the field.

"The Growing Club is aiming to help women positively reshape their relationship with numbers and money. We are making numbers enjoyable and empowering for women. ”

On Friday February 10, the organisation is running an in-person, half-day workshop in Lancaster called ‘What’s your price?’.

Setting prices in business to achieve profitability with a positive mindset and without judgement is something that many women often find challenging on their business journey.

The Growing Club also offers individual sessions for women to open up conversations and provide help and information around bills, finance and numbers generally.
