They had mixed fortunes, ranging from ‘outstanding’ to ‘requires improvement’.
Take a look at all the educational establishments below, including their classifications, highlights and areas that require improvement.
5. Lancaster Steiner School
Report published on July 18 following an inspection from May 23 to 25. Classed as 'Good'. Highlights: Pupils thrive in this nurturing school environment. This is a happy school. Pupils are articulate and value the support that staff give them for their emotional well-being. Leaders are quick to deal with any incidents of unkind behaviour or bullying. As a result, pupils feel safe in school. Pupils are inquisitive and resilient learners. Improvements needed: In a small number of subjects, leaders’ curriculum thinking is not as well developed. As a result, sometimes teachers are not as clear as they should be about what pupils should know. This hinders how deeply some pupils learn in these subjects. 6. Morecambe Bay Academy
Report published on October 30 following an inspection on September 20. Classed as 'Good'. Highlights: Pupils are happy, polite and respectful. They feel part of a close-knit community where everyone is valued. Behaviour around the school is orderly. The school is clear and ambitious in its drive to improve the quality of education that pupils receive. The curriculum is well thought out and identifies the key knowledge that pupils, including students in the sixth form, need to learn. Improvements needed: A minority of pupils do not attend school as often as they should. The school should continue to support these pupils and their families to improve their rates of attendance. Some older pupils do not read as well as they should. As the school rolls out and embeds its reading strategy, it should ensure that older pupils’ gaps in reading knowledge are identified and addressed quickly. 7. St Patrick's Catholic Primary School
Report published on May 22 following an inspection on March 21. Classed as 'Good'. Highlights: Pupils like their school. They feel safe, secure and well cared for by staff. Pupils are well mannered and respectful to adults and visitors. They understand and
follow the school rules. Leaders have designed an exciting and ambitious curriculum for all pupils, including those with SEND. Teachers use their strong subject knowledge to make learning memorable for pupils. Improvements needed: In a small number of subjects, leaders have not clearly identified all of the smaller components of knowledge that pupils need to learn. This prevents teachers from ensuring that pupils learn everything that they need to know in these subjects. Leaders should refine the curriculum even further so that pupils can build their knowledge securely over time. Previous inspection: Good. Photo: St Patrick's Catholic Primary School

The school should ensure that pupils develop a secure understanding of a range of faiths and cultures. Previous inspection: Good. Photo: Google
