Lancaster primary school pupils asked to stay home after staff member tests positive for Covid-19
Parents were asked not to send their child into school today, Thursday October 22, while the school was awaiting advice on whether the whole year or just one class would need to self isolate.
Head Jo Banks said the decision was precautionary while the Department of Education issues further advice.

In a statement released this morning, Mrs Banks said: "A member of staff in Year 5 has been tested positive to Covid-19. I am currently awaiting advice from the DFE to see if it is the whole year that has to isolate for 14 days or just one class.
"So as a precautionary measure please do not send your child in. Siblings can however attend school and members of the family can also go to work. I will forward further information this morning.
"Sorry for such short notice, we only received the results this morning."
