Ryelands Primary and Nursery School Lancaster this week received six Amazon Fire tablets thanks to the hard work of Shaun Gash.

Shaun has been raising money to buy tablets for schools across the district and beyond, to help out youngsters who need a device for their studies.

He has already delivered Amazon Fire devices to six other schools.

As well as Ryelands, Walton Lane Nursery School and Rocking Horse Club in Nelson also received a set of tablets this week.

"It’s about providing opportunities for all ages to access educational platforms," Shaun said.

"With the situation in the UK on lockdown and schools closed with home learning in place, this has put enormous pressure on schools to provide laptops/tablets for their pupils to continue on their learning pathway.

"Schools have limited numbers of laptops to loan out to each pupil, and limited funds to purchase more and government allocation has been cut to save stock!

"I’m on a mission to support schools and children and young persons education by trying to raise as much funds as possible to buy more equipment."
