Three new directors appointed to Lancaster and District Chamber board
They are Imogen Brettell, chief people officer at SilverDoor Apartments, Nick Wilkinson of Lune Properties and who is also chair of Lancaster Business Improvement District (BID), and Maria Chambers, chief executive of CancerCare.
“We are delighted to welcome these three talented businesspeople to our board,” said Chamber president, Mal Garnett. “They will work in a voluntary capacity with our other non-executive directors and the wider Chamber team to drive forward the growth and development of our organisation.

Imogen joined SilverDoor apartments in 2016 and today is responsible for employee welfare and wellbeing, recruitment, and training and development.
Nick has worked as a project manager on regeneration projects across the health and social care sector, then in senior management in the National Health Service. He has a passion for anything Lancaster.
Maria has been director of children and young people’s services for Scope and director of education for Ambitious about Autism.

Hide AdShe’s a governor of the Chadwick Centre, a Lancaster school for pupils who need special educational provision, a trustee of Lancaster and Morecambe Citizens' Advice Bureau and is on the board of Lancaster BID.
Mal added: “Our new appointees will be formally voted on by members at the Chamber’s 123rd annual general meeting in October, which will be conducted online for the first time.
“During the meeting we will cover the highlights and achievements of the past year, from April 2019 to the end of March 2020, and discuss plans and developments for the year ahead.”
The online annual meeting takes place for Chamber members on October 21 from 6pm until 7pm. It will be conducted via Zoom with the meeting link to be provided on registration. Book free tickets here
