A former off-licence, the Little Bare on Princes Crescent in Bare opened in 2017, serving craft ales and ciders as well as its own gin.

They posted on their Facebook that they would reopen for a trial run from yesterday, Thursday May 14, between 2pm and 7pm, and will be cash only.

"As we don't expect to be open as a pub for several months we've moved some bits about and turned ourselves back into a beer and wine shop for the foreseeable future," they said.

"We'll have a selection of wines and our gins available. As well as two cask, three draft beers and one cider available in two and four pint containers.

"We've got a great selection of cans and bottles available. Pleased to say that more will be on the way next week if the trial run is a success. The draught beer will taste great at home and will keep in the fridge for a few days but we recomend you consume it within two days for the best taste.

"The plan at the moment is for the shop to open for a couple of days a week for limited hours so that anyone local can call in as part of their daily exercise.

"We will then also be offering free delivery one day a week so anyone isolating or further afield can enjoy what we have to offer.

"We will be operating a one in one out or two from the same household policy. We believe we've got a great system in place so waiting time will be kept to a absolute minimum.

"Please rest assured that all government guidelines are being adhered to and followed to the letter."

The Bookmakers micropub in Heysham is also offering deliveries and collections - adhering to social distancing regulations - during the pandemic.

The Boardwalk in Morecambe also offers a delivery service, while The Wellington has a mobile bar where pints are pulled at your door.
