Morecambe has been named one of the best beach holiday spots in the UK after Airbnb has revealed the top ten trending British seaside destinations.

With many people around the UK opting for a holiday closer to home this summer, the nostalgic and simple pleasures of the Great British seaside holiday, fish and chips, rock-pooling and ice-creams, are making a comeback.
Airbnb has teamed up with UK-based artists to create a series of bespoke, traditional-style postcards illustrating the delights of the top ten destinations.

5. Morecambe

Tenby is a harbour town and resort in southwest Wales. Its known for its 13th-century town walls and its stretches of sandy shoreline, including Castle Beach.
Southend-on-Sea is on the Thames Estuary in Essex, southeast England. The long Southend Pier is serviced by a small train and has a museum at its shore end. Nearby, Adventure Island is an amusement park with fairground rides and water slides.
