"It is an all-encompassing project that will tie many facets of the community together. It is much more than a tourist attraction as it will be the bridge between the scientific, educational, business, tourism, environmental and third-sector communities.

"The Eden team have been doing all they can but now they need you and more importantly your support. Ever since the word Eden was heard locally every man, women and dog have been asking how they can help or get involved.

"Well now is your time to help and support in securing this amazing project on Morecambe’s shores."

The chamber is pointing businesses towards a suggested letter which can be downloaded here.

Detailing the positive impact Eden Project North would have on the surrounding area, part of the letter reads: "It will be the springboard that will enable hundreds, if not thousands, of millions of pounds of inward investment into North Lancashire and the wider county as well as being a magnet for domestic and international tourism."

It continues: "We totally support the Eden North Project and firmly urge you to financially back this scheme to see this through to fruition. It will be a major and significant part of levelling up this area of the North."
