Lancaster's Lockdown cinema club films released ahead of its launch on July 29

The areas biggest drive in cinema, launching from Wednesday July 29 to Sunday August 16 will be a drive-in movie experience with the largest LED screen in the north west.

There will be 45 movies over three weeks, with three showings per day (midday, afternoon, evening), from Wednesday to Sunday.

Tickets on sale very soon (tickets are limited and could sell out) and there will be food and drink available.

The films being shown are as follows:

July 29: The Lion King, Grease sing-a-long, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

July 30: Matilda, Dirty Dancing, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

July 31: Alice in Wonderland, Footloose, Joker.

August 1: Frozen, The Lost Boys, Pulp Fiction.

August 5: The Wizard of Oz, Moulin Rouge, Blade Runner 2049.

August 6: Sonic the Hedgehog, The Lost World Jurassic Park, Snatch.

August 7: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Beetlejuice, David Copperfield.

August 8: Toy Story, Back to the Future, Reservoir Dogs.

August 9: Frozen II, Shaun of the Dead, Kill Bill Volume I.

August 12: Film listing to be announced, The Sound of Music, Film listing to be announced.

August 13: Trolls World Tour, Labyrinth, Kill Bill Volume II.

August 14: Alice through the Looking Glass, Military Wives, Knives Out.

August 15: Monsters, inc, Hocus Pocus, V for Vendetta.

August 16: The Addams Family, The Greatest Showman, film listing to be announced.

The drive-in cinema was set to be at St Leonardsgate care park but a new location will be announced soon on the Facebook page Lancaster Lockdown Cinema Club.
