Organisers said they can't wait to bring some safe and socially distanced Christmas magic to Morecambe.

Co-owner of Experience Creators, which launched SmallTownBigScreen in September in Barrow-in-Furness, Charlotte Ducie said: "We had such an amazing response from the people and business of Barrow that we just had to get round more towns across the North West.

"Originally I am from Barrow but spent a lot of time in my childhood in Morecambe as it is where my grandparents live. I thought that this would be a great location.

"We are visiting Morecambe on December 10 and 11 in Jump Rush car park. We feel this is the perfect place as we know it’s is popular with families from across the area and has the space in their car park for us to create a magical experience. You can purchase your tickets on our website, we are expected to sell out before the event itself.

"We know that many of the towns have had most if not all festivities cancelled so we can’t wait to bring some safe and socially distanced Christmas Magic to Morecambe.

"We will be showing Polar Express, Elf, The Grinch and Love Actually in Morecambe, we already have seen an amazing response.

"We know that right now safety is the main priority and that is why we will ask everyone to pre-purchase their tickets and not leave their car unless they are joining out socially distanced toilet queue.

"We have a Covid secure trained event team ready to help on the night. We also know that restrictions can change at any time so we would like to make it clear that should local restrictions cancel the event we will be providing refunds."

Organisers say you will need access to a car with an FM tuning radio and food and drink can be pre-ordered.

At least two portable toilets will be available at the event.

Visitors are asked to remove all roof racks and attachments so the view of other guests isn’t blocked.

It promises to be a safe and socially-distanced event to enjoy in what's shaping up to be a very different festive season this year.
