Master of observational comedy, Alun Cochrane, returns to The Dukes at the weekend.

Alun’s latest tour – A Show With A Man In It – calls into the Lancaster theatre on April 3.

This new show features jokes about manliness, womanliness, hobbies, ageing, fighting, perfume, beards, snoods, feminism, fundamentalism and hopefully some profound understanding about life itself.

Alun’s dulcet tones can be heard frequently on BBC Radio 4 on Alun Cochrane’s Fun House, Just A Minute, Dilemma and The Now Show.

On television screens, Alun’s dour face has recently been seen on Have I Got News For You (BBC One) and on Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (UKTV) where he was invited to be a guest on the show.

He has performed his observational autobiographical comedy on various television stand-up and panel shows including: Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You and 8 Out Of 10 Cats. He is affectionately known as the Cockerel on Absolute Radio’s Frank Skinner Show.

Turning to acting, Alun has played a series regular Sam, alongside Chris Addison, in Sky Living’s sitcom Trying Again, was a guest star in BBC One’s comedy series Boomers and appeared in Russell Howard’s Christmas film A Gert Lush Christmas which was broadcast on Boxing Day.

Tickets are priced £13/£11 concessions (a £1 per transaction fee applies when booking online).

Live comedy at The Dukes is recommended for anyone aged 16 plus.
