FOLLOWING the Vintage revival and interest in Sky TV’s Boardwalk Empire, 1920s Speakeasy parties are all the rage in London...and Lancaster now has its own regular Speakeasy.
Slim Steph’s Speakeasy at the Boot and Shoe in Lancaster will feature authentic 78rpm records played on a vintage wind-up gramophone player (as well as CD music from the era), and music will be provided by the High Society Jazz Band.
Silent movies will be shown and there will also be a chance to win a bottle of champagne on a fun Black Jack table with all proceeds to Help For Heroes.
There will be a Charleston lesson at 7.30pm, then Charleston and Swing dancing till midnight.
