This fabulous photo of Lancaster pianist ‘Boogie’ Bill Roberts is part of a new exhibition at the Dukes.

On Stage/Off Stage shows off the work of photographers Pauline Clark and Jonathan Bean, who have captured musicians both at work and play.

Pauline, who has lived in Morecambe for 25 years, has snapped musicians 3D Tanx, Lovely Eggs, The Art Club, Dr Robotnick, Bleach, Paddy Steer and the Long Lost Band.

She started taking photographs of live bands around 2006, mainly at the Yorkshire House in Lancaster.

“I admire anyone who has the guts to get up on stage and perform,” said Pauline.

“The whole of the exhibition is just a pure celebration of my love of local music.”

Jonathan Bean, who describes himself as a retro-loving, camera-hugging, snap-happy photo geek, has captured portraits of local musicians offstage.

Those featured include Boogie Bill Roberts, Mia Wilson, Katy Pickles, Matthew Black and Lucas Button.

Jonathan, who has his own photography business, has been taking portrait photographs for many years.

On Stage/Off Stage runs until April 27. The Dukes gallery is open from 10am to 11pm, Monday to Saturday. Admission free.
