Drama Factory is celebrating their 25th anniversary by taking part in Morecambe’s Shakespeare Festival.

The local theatre academy has adapted Shakespeare’s Henry V for ‘The Bard By The Beach Festival’ playing in Morecambe over the weekend of April 22- 24.

Their principal Ginny Scott said: “Between 70 and 80 young people will be involved in the production, which contains some of Shakespeare’s best know and most exciting speeches. Both past and present pupils are involved and it has been an enormous challenge, adapting this for a young cast and young audience, but we have some really talented students who I know will take this on and do it justice.”

Henry V can be seen at the Winter Gardens Theatre Morecambe on the Sunday afternoon of April 24 at 2pm. It will last about one and half hours and tickets are £5 each ( under 16 free with a parent). Tickets in advance from www.bardbythebeach.co.uk or on the door at 1.30pm.

Drama Factory was established in 1990 by a group of ex-professional actors, to teach performance skills to children and adults. They run weekly classes for children in a number of venues in Lancaster and Morecambe from age seven to 18.
