Win a copy of A Slice of Cake by Caroline Taggart

If you’re interested in travel, these prizes might be just the ticket.

Firstly, there are two signed copies of A Slice of Britain: Around the Country by Cake by Caroline Taggart to be won.

The book was cooked up when author Caroline set out on a mission to capture a slice of Britain by devouring its many tea-time treats, slice by sumptuous slice.

She investigated one mouthful at a time what – other than geography – separates a Coventry God Cake from an Eccles Cake, or Grantham Gingerbread from Whitby Gingerbread. Tell me the two traditional colours of Battenberg sponge cake to be in with a chance of winning this book.

I’ve also got a couple of copies of Catrina Davies’ The Ribbons are for Fearlessness: A Journey to give away.

This books tells the story of cello-playing Catrina who is devastated when her lover leaves her to go surfing on the other side of the world. But all is not lost when Catrina’s friend Andrew comes up with a plan to cheer her up and the two of them set off busking their way from Norway to Portugal. Sadly, Andrew is tragically killed in an accident and Catrina decides to go it alone.

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of The Ribbons are for Fearlessness tell me what instrument Catrina was going to busk with?
