Poetry with a touch of class and a dash of music is on the menu at one of Lancaster Litfest’s winter events.
April Poets exists to promote the best of regional poetry and to give a voice to new and established writers in North Lancashire and Cumbria.
Audiences are treated to a great atmosphere and stunningly good poets to listen to. The evening offers a few floor spots – first come first served on the night.
This event – on Thursday November 21, 7.30pm at The Storey – features Jim Turner, Jean Harrison, Kim Moore and Mike Barlow.
Music on the night by Hymas&Lewis and tickets on the door are £4/£2.
Also, for budding writers, there’s a Spotlight Writing Workshop with Brindley Hallam Dennis at The Gregson Centre on Saturday November 23 from 1-4pm.
Fee is £5/free to unwaged.
Or try one of two one-to-one writing surgeries on Sunday November 24 and Sunday December 15 at the Gregson Centre, Lancaster. Again, £5 fee/free to unwaged. Further information at spotlightlancaster.co.uk
